SocketLabs is proud to provide complimentary email delivery services to local or national organizations that are providing support for COVID-19 community awareness and safety communications.
One such organization is the Battle Creek Michigan Area COVID-19 / Coronavirus Grassroots Resource Network. This website is focused on providing access to available resources for those in need, and awareness to the community of organizations that need volunteers or other assistance. As the name explains, this is a grassroots organization that is focused purely on improving the well-being of the community through the centralization and dissemination of key information.
Among the specific objectives at Battle Creek is bringing together, all of the community news into one place where it can be regularly updated and reliable. You will find information about services related to food, housing, childcare, transportation, utilities, and more. They also have a COVID-19 Response Timebank where members of the community can share the skills and other resources that they have to contribute and share with other community members. It’s a platform for people to connect with each other and exchange – whether it’s delivering food, sending activities for kids to play at home, or making calls to check on seniors.
Their Community Resource Guide includes sections for:
- Medical/Mental Health
- Food/Other Necessities
- Utilities
- Housing/Shelter
- Youth/Child Care
- Seniors
SocketLabs is supportive of the communication needs for Battle Creek’s COVID-19 preparation and we’re happy to support other worthy causes across the country with complementary access to our world-class email platform. Support the Philly Pledge
In addition to our broad support for COVID-19 relief, SocketLabs is proud to support our local community in the Philadelphia region. Extending our corporate advocacy of Philabundance – which we initiated earlier this month with our volunteer day – the company is excited to support “The Philly Pledge” a movement started last Friday by Philadelphia 76er’s basketball star Ben Simmons. He launched his own awareness program and website which encourages Philadelphians to donate to Philabundance as well as the PHL COVID-19 Fund, which helps provide local coronavirus relief. We invite you to join us by assisting these organizations in any way possible. To learn more and make donations to these organizations, visit their individual websites.
Philabundance is one of the city’s oldest mobile food banks that helps provide nutritious meals to the 300,000 Philly residents at risk of going hungry (note: based on their stats that 1 in 5 Philly residents face hunger).
Support PHL COVID-19 FUND has been set up as a direct response to help the nonprofit sector continue to do what they do best – assist at risk community groups such as the elderly, disabled, homeless and economically disadvantaged through a range of essential social services.
